The cabin, which was one of the first houses built in the Cowichan Valley dates back to 1896. It was restored in 2002 but much of it is kept original. The cozy living room which makes you feel like a pioneer has an old wood stove. All the modern luxuries are present in the old style kitchen. On the lower level are two bedrooms. The larger one has a double bed, the smaller one a bunk bed. The bathroom is on the same level and has a tub. The property is a true gem. The 14 secluded heritage acres have a bit of everything. There is the field surrounded by the old growth forest and the old orchard, where the bees are happily humming along. You can go for a stroll in the forest or along the flower beds, with the view of the mountains in the back. Or if you just want to sit and relax then there's the sit-area with a rustic river rock fireplace, which is also a perfect place for a night under the stars. There is also a play area for kids. All of this is close to the river, parks, trails, wineries and many interesting things to see and do.
